Backup Manager v2 "Patch" Released (NoBluRay Support)

An anonymous user over at Elotrolado has released a patched version of Backup Manager to support the PSGroove with Hermes payload that was released yesterday.

With these two items combined together, you can now play all your PS3 backup's without having to insert an original game disk inside the Blu-Ray drive.

You need of course to re-flash your USB Development Board using the new PSGroove fork that was released by Hermes earlier this week.

PSGroove modified to Backups without Blu-Ray Disc inside!

Hermes over at Elotrolado has released his fork of the PSGroove that allows playing of your backup games without the need of the Blu-Ray Disc inside your PS3 drive.

This was one of the so-called new features of Backup Manager v1.1 but sadly due to the heat from the end-users and from Sony's lawyers it seems that the original PSJailbreak team has not released it.

But thanks to our fellow Spanish friends over at Elotrolado, mainly in part to the hard-work of Hermes he has figured out another way by changing the Payload of the PSGroove to allow the non-disc mode!

But it only half the battle, we will still need a new Backup Manager or patch to make easy full use of Hermes payload, but at least it is a start, and I sure by the end of the day we will see some great progress on this!
