PSFreedom now works on 3.15 firmware!

Just a few days since we heard about 3.01, but now KaKaRoTo, a founder to PSFreedom has really made an exciting development to the PS3 Jailbreak scene. According to his blog, he has finished his marvelous job on porting PSFreedom to 3.15 firmware version which means that anyone who does not update can enjoy PS3 Jailbreak with their OtherOS! That will be a huge improvement in the PS3 Jailbreak scene considering that OtherOS is also an important function for PS3 user where there are limitless possibilities to hack the PS3. Now, what we need is someone to make a hack where we can downgrade to older firmware version so that anyone who has updated to Jailbreak their PS3 console can also enjoy OtherOS. The much needed Linux operating system is not in the PS3 slim though as it is only available in the PS3 Fat, which is the older version of the PS3 console. But, with the fast paced development in the PS3 Jailbreak scene, we could see a PS3 Slim with PSGroove running OtherOS in the future. Who knows?
Philhug and I have worked together recently to make PL3 compatible with 3.15, and it is now done, working and ready for you to use. I have just pushed the latest changes to github, so just update both PSFreedom and PL3, and define FIRMWARE_3_15 in PSFreedom’s config.h and recompile. You will then be able to enjoy your unrestricted PS3 on 3.15 firmwares. Enjoy!
